In the absence of a Memorial on the island of Ireland specifically dedicated to the memory of all the Irishmen and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the cause of Peace and Freedom at home and worldwide, Tipperary Remembrance Trust was formed. This Trust consists of the coming together of Irish Ex-servicemen and Women, and groupings dedicated to Remembrance, Peace and Reconciliation.

Adjacent to St Vincent’s day care centre on the site of the former Military Barracks stands the only remaining entrance arch (now a protected structure) and is all that remains of the Officers quarters and mess of the Barracks (See Gallery).

The Arch will also remember those who came home from those conflicts seriously injured, maimed,  sick after what they went through and did not survive for long after and especially those who remain to this day missing.

“Tipperary Remembrance Arch is dedicated to ensuring that their sacrfices are not forgotten".
